As you know, our Austrian Partners compiled feminist reading lists for schools (elementary and high school), universities, and non-fiction after almost two full years of research and collaboration under the website: www.femlit.eu.

Our Partners from Germany, Armenia and Netherlands (who recently exited the partnership), have also finished compiling their reading lists with female/feminist authors in poetry, literature and non-fiction. Their works have historically shaped stories, bent narratives and echoed change that is relevant in today's times.

Read with more diversity – and understand the world better.

A lot of reading happens in schools – but mostly texts by men. Women’s perspectives? Rare. Feminist narratives? Hardly ever. And yet the curriculum clearly states: students should question discrimination and engage with different worldviews.

We believe: there’s a better way.

Because stories shape how we see the world and show us who we can be!

That’s why ≠igfem Austria, together with the European partner organizations Fixdit (Netherlands), Schamrock (Germany), and Today Art (Armenia), has created several feminist reading lists – for schools, universities, and anyone of any age who is curious. With powerful texts and perspectives from women writers past and present, or more diversity in the classroom. For more justice on the bookshelf. And for more joy in reading!

Download the reports and reading lists below and keep an eye on our website, www.femlit.eu, for further updates.

Stay tuned for more updates...
